over years i have gone through the process of booking travel deals ... flights ..car rental .. hotels.. tours.. trying to get the best deal.. BUT there is no deal afterALL..

get a good hotel deal... but wow there is 10% destination surcharge, 3% tourism tax, wireless Internet surcharge,    

by mistake you take a 150ml bottle out of the hotel refrigerator you are charged $10(You could get 2 crates of 40 bottles from safeway for the same price).. do not touch the displayed chocolates collection in your room, it might cost you $20.. and room service to get water $30..  

get a good car deal... first we  need to argue and fight with the rental representative to decline the insurance... then fight off their upgrades offer.. but you are in an international country and can't use your phone $25/1mb rate plan. so better option is to add $20/day GPS navigation..  gone is your deal..  

tours.. if a city has 4  MUST places to see, no tours will be there which cover all 4 together.. take a combination of two... which means arrive twice to the start off point.. pay twice for car parking.. pay twice for tips.. stay an extra day in hotel..  Actually you will get over budget.. 

flights.. the best ads for DEALS from these fellow.. It seems they hire Harvard graduates to make their deals..

apart from standard deals which starts during weekdays which means take a day or two off from Office and loose your office hoildays.. it seems they have negotiated with the hotels with respect to check in/check out time.

Hotel check in time start 3pm but no airlines will arrive around that time but 3-4 hours early, so if you really need to rush into hotel book an extra day.. and since checkout times are noon, you will have no flight leaving close to that time.. which means either sit in airport for 6-7 hours or take another day with hotel even though you are staying 3 more extra hours. BTW you can take mid-afternoon flights but just need to pay $$$..

so friends there is no DEAL..
